Edit Post ‹ vincetracy.com Blog — WordPress ...There´s a new blog and a new podcast. I hope you find them interesting. We had a glorious day yesterday and I certainly enjoyed my show with Neil Colbourne as my studio guest and memories from Fred Wedlock. Iris set another fine challenge and Rob Daniells set us right with La Liga. Whilst all this was going on Stuey Lee Lewis was dressed in striped tights, stack-heeled shoes and a Cool FM tee shirt as he prepared to walk with the volunteers to Help the Heroes. Well done to Sam from Coast to Coast Magazine for a brilliant effort. The streaming for the web was off again for the third week running and is miraculously restored this morning. I wonder how that happens? I have a really busy and different this week so expect postings to be a little erratic. Let's get the weather for the week ahead..... Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday 22° C | 11° C 19° C | 8° C 19° C | 9° C 19° C | 9° C I ris's Challenge-answer at th...

Edit Post ‹ vincetracy.com Blog — WordPress ...There´s a new blog and a new podcast. I hope you find them interesting. The weather is absolutely fantastic today. We have mountain to sea sunshine with a wonderful definition on the mountains and beautiful blue sea. The world really does look a different place. Butterflies are now beginning to appear and I am trying to remember which month of last year we had the major butterfly fly past. It went on for days ansd this location is obviously on their flight path. They came in thousands and were a novelty for our cat for the first few days. The novelty eventually wore off and he went back to chasing birds. Sadly to say he catches too many. We've had words but he's like the kids. He just ignores what we say. I've threatened him with a visit to0 the cattery. He's already had his testicles pruned and we cut down his treats but NO. He still wants to catch birds. I think it gives him street cred! Well, let´s get the all important ...

Getting Started with Firefox ...There´s a new blog and a new podcast. I hope you find them interesting. It´s grey and very cloudy today. I cannot see the Mediterranean nor can I see the mountains. Both are shrouded in low clouds complemented by a film of mist. It is warm so I´ll check the Alicante forecast to see what lies ahead for us. Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday Saturday 19° C | 8° C 18° C | 9° C 21° C | 10° C 20° C | 10° C 19° C | 7° C Scattered Clouds Chance of Rain 20% chance of precipitation Clear Clear Scattered Clouds Happy people tend to talk more than unhappy people, but when they do, it tends to be less small talk and more substance, a new study finds. A group of psychologists from the University of Arizona and Washington University in St. Louis set out to find whether happy and unhappy people differ in the types of conversations they tend to have. For their study, volunteers wore an unobtrusive recording device called the Electronically Act...

...There´s a new blog and a new podcast. I hope you find them interesting. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- The Fallas in Valencia were amazing. I´ve been before but not quite in the same way. We got to the outskirts of Valencia, parked, and came in to the centre on the Metro. The metro is a fantastic network in whatever city one is built and this is no exception tunneling deep into the ground below the city. The trains were jam packed and we had a laugh thinking of the efforts of health and Safety officials. How nobody gets killed is a mystery. We had to change once during this part of the trip and then from the second train we climbed about 200 steps to get back to ground level. The streets were already choc-a-bloc by 10.30 with people heading towards the 2pm Mezclata. This, if you like, is a rather long and loud series of explosions! This is the really big one and the crowds were already showing excitement. The streets were full of various...

...There´s a new blog and a new podcast. I hope you find them interesting. Another grey and rainy day but a buoyant show with Cool Fm. Neil Colbourne joined me on the show and on the phone I spoke with Iris, Paul Melba and Ron Mitchell. The texts were flooding in and I thoroughly enjoyed the show. Iris had quite a few telling her it was Mary Hopkins. Last night I watched Real Madrid scrape a win against Sevilla. Ronaldo was extremelygood and the Sevilla goalkeeper was brilliant. Well done Portsmouth and come on Reading, Stoke and Tottenham Three conservative regions of Spain defended bullfighting on Friday and pledged legislation to enshrine it as a pillar of their cultural heritage, as another area of the country considers banning the sport. Bullfighting remains very popular in some regions of Spain, but it is no longer the powerful draw it was generations ago. Today´s crowds at bull rings are largely middle-aged, while younger generations find their heroes in music or soc...

...There´s a new blog and a new podcast. I hope you find them interesting. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, therefore, is not an act but a habit. Aristotle It´s a funny old day with clouds in evidence and a grey sky only pierced by the sun every now and again. Nevertheless when we stack our luck against others in the world we live like kings. I´ve just been down to do my show with Cool FM on 97.4 and found we have no Stuey Lewis today as he´s gone back to the UK for a funeral. This is the price we pay for living out here. We seem to be going back for too many funerals. Has anyone else been following the mysterious happenings in Bridgend, Wales. Twenty eight young people have committed suicide there since 2007 according to this newspaper report . The number of these suicides has dramatically increased in the past two years. What on earth is causing the problem? Isn´t this matter of the Venables identity cover up strange? Of course, everyone knows he will have change...
