The weather was lovely but we needed to go up to the garage to sort out the motor problems. We drove home for a bite to eat and then we set off for Anne's Spanish class in Alfaz del Pi. Whilst Anne studied I walked round the town perimeter and really enjoyed my walk. I then did a bit of my own homework before going to meet Angie and Paul for a coffee and a chat. ...There´s a new blog and a new podcast. I hope you find them interesting. It is a day of Cornish Haar once again and there could be a bit of rain about. I´ll check the forecast in due course. I am overjoyed right now as I have just received official confirmation that my eldest son, Richard, has accepted me as a friend on Facebook. This i9s the equivalent to getting a letter from Tom Champagne telling you that you have won the Reader´s Digest Prize Draw. My goodness how I relished those missives. With money in mi9nd, BBC North were looking this morning at the billions of pounds their major football clubs owe. The chairman of Wigan was explaining that it´s due to the mismanagement of foreign investors. Who´s to say it´s not part of a wider plot to undermine the UK economy via football. Stranger things have happened. I think the time has come to ban foreign takeovers of national institutions like the football clubs. Wells We have a lovely day today and , having seen the changes later in the week, it is hard to envisage what is ahead. Our hearts and minds should be with the people of Chile today as yet another natural disaster hits the world. Is it my imagination or are things happening with greater frequency? This current bad run includes the earthquake in Haiti, the floods in Madeira and the water causing floods in virtually every part of the world. Add the current economic hardship and it is difficult to see where the aid can be sustained and it continues to really annoy me that a few sporting and music stars enjoy immoral wealth whilst so many others are suffering.
