Remember you can listen to the day’s story of the music whilst reading my blog by clicking this link..   When The Beatles first went to the US, John Lennon was asked what he would like to see; he replied ‘Bo Diddley.’ Diddley died from heart failure in Archer, Florida aged 79 on 2nd June 2008.

What a lovely day it was yesterday. No. It wasn't just the weather it was where we went in the afternoon. Forget the football. I know it's interesting but all those pampered millionaires couldn't give a toss about any of us so it was time to spend a few hours with the little people at our marvellous facility which is just five minutes away by car. I'm talking about Terra Natura and I very rarely go there without my camera. The animals were all a bit frisky and that augurs for a very interesting visit! Here are the pictures.....

I recently read the following…How would you like to triple your risk of heart attack?  Just pick up a prescription of Celebrex. I have been on this drug for a while as a strategy to help a problem with my back.

While studying the drug’s potential as an anti-cancer drug, the National Cancer Institute discovered that…Those taking 400mg doses had 250% greater risk of dying from heart attack or stroke… and those taking the 800mg doses has 340% times the risk!
If you found this article informative please share it with others...article. I am now going upstairs to see exactly what I am taking and then I will research this matter further…

CIMG5913Elvis Presley had 10 songs in the Billboard Top 100 on this day in 1956. What an achievement and what a career. I grew up loving his music from the moment I heard Wooden Heart. Sure, we had Cliff and the Shadows and they were all a bit special.

Was it really the age of innocence or were we just naive? I know we were happy and I grew up in a rather more leisurely way than the children do today. I know we all felt a little bit daring when we read a few pages of Lady Chatterley’s Lover for example. One of my friends smuggled the book into the school and you can guess where we read it! It was only for the serious content and the advancement of our studies in English literature but it was considered very raunchy for those days.

We had an end of term school concert and I remember Larry Daintree going up onto the stage to play Travelling Light and Tom Dooley. We thought this was just about the coolest thing ever and in those days we didn’t really  expect anything too involved for the lead guitarists. Considering I was having lessons to `play the violin I’m just a little disappointed these days that I didn’t get any further than a few bars of ‘London’s Burning.’ I even sang in the school choir and I remember our singing teacher had a look of Diana Dors with big red lips and blonde hair. I think she was getting on a bit and I spent too much time deliberately singing out of tune for a laugh. What a shame I didn’t pay more attention to what she could have taught me. Regrets? I’ve had a few…..

Try These Back Pain Relief Tips Now

Do you use a computer? Keep your mouse directly next to your keyboard. If you rest your wrist on a wrist pad or reach up for your mouse, this triggers back pain because of the unnatural stretch angle.

Your mattress: Even if you have the best mattress in the world for back pain, improper pillow usage will completely sabotage your efforts to sleep well and allow your back to recover. Regardless of your pillow thickness, firmness, or number of pillows you use, what you want is a neutral spinal alignment when you rest your head for the night. Allowing your head to push forward, fall back, or lean to the side all night is a sure recipe for a neck ache and back pain in the morning.

The Day's Events 30th December
