The clear message is ..enjoy the weather when you can. The weather is obviously threatening rain for the rest of the week.

Chelsea are the Premier League champions and deservedly so. I was rather chuffed with my predictions. I did say Chelsea would win by five at least and I suggested Man Utd would win by four. Liverpool contine to disappoint. Thank God the season is over and well done Everton on such a better season. I cannot see Chelsea losing the cup final and I think Chelsea will win by at least three goals.

Old friends continue to visit and this week I will have a great chance to pick up on old times with my friend Eddie Newnes from the Wallasey Judo Club. We've just sunk the first cups of coffee with our old pal Tommy Rawcliffe.........

James Bond star Sean Connery and his wife will appear before a Spanish judge later this month concerning alleged money laundering and other irregularities relating to a vacation property he once owned in Spain.

Festival of the Month: El Rocio
This festival is little known outside Spain yet it is the country's biggest pilgrimage (romeria) in which over a million people make their way on foot and on horseback to the shrine of 'La Virgen del Rocio' which lies on the edge of the Doñana national park in the province of Huelva. The festival usually takes place at the end of May and lasts for three days. In one of our local bars there's a sign on the wall showing how many days it is until the beginning of El Rocio which is counted down every day of the year. It's sad the day the pilgrimage ends and the counter goes back to 364 days to go!
No podía soportar el dolor. - He couldn't stand the pain.
