Car hire experts are warning tourists travelling this Easter to book in advance as early signs show that there is an increased demand for rental vehicles across Europe. Some of the most popular destinations where car hire is already heavily booked include Tenerife, Faro, Rome, Murcia and Alicante.

It is believed that Easter will be a very busy holiday period as many people chose to stay at home over the festive period due to toll the holiday season had taken on their finances. With the country struggling out of recession, money was still tight for many. As we seem to be turning the corner, more holidaymakers are expected to come out over Easter than before. Full Story

(1)Was born as Gaynor Hopkins, 8 June 1951 and is a Welsh singer. In 1970, at age 19, she entered a talent contest, singing the Mary Hopkin hit "Those Were the Days", but only came in second place. She then was chosen to sing in a band with front man Bobby Wayne and was known as Bobby Wayne & The Dixies.

(2) Two years later, she formed her own band called “Imagination” and performed with them in pubs and clubs all over southern Wales . It was then that she decided to adopt the stage name of Sherene Davies

(3) In 1976, she was spotted in "The Townsman Club" in Swansea by the songwriting and producing team of Ronnie Scott (not the famous jazz musician) and Steve Wolfe; who became her managers, songwriters and producers. She then changed her name to the name she was famous as.

(4) She released her first album in 1977 entitled The World Starts Tonight. A further single from the album, "More Than a Lover", made the UK Top 30, whereas the follow up single, "Heaven", reached the Top 30 in Germany .

(5) Her next single made her an international star, and it made #3 on the US chart and became a hit worldwide; it topped the charts in several countries (including France and Australia ) and peaked at #2 in Germany and at #4 in the UK .

(6) In 1987 she sang the title song for Mike Oldfield's album Islands . She also sang with Cher on the songs "Perfection", and "Emotional Fire” She also did a duet with fellow Welsh artist Shakin' Stevens .

1970, in an interview with the New Musical Express, Fleetwood Mac's Peter Green talked about his plans to give all his money away. The following year Green confronted his accountant with a gun after he sent him an unwanted royalty check. Born George Allen Miles in Omaha, Nebraska, Buddy's nickname was a tribute to his idol, jazz drummer Buddy Rich. Rich also played with The Delfonics, The Ink Spots, Wilson Pickett, Electric Flag, Stevie Wonder, David Bowie, Muddy Waters and Barry White.
